The London Bureau has been in existence for eleven years. It was founded by B’nai B’rith UK in March 1998 as the UK arm of B’nai B’rith International’s Centre for Human Rights and Public Policy, headquartered in Washington DC.
Since 1843 B’nai B’rith International has been the global voice of the Jewish Community and is the oldest and most widely known Jewish humanitarian, human rights, and advocacy organization. B’nai B’rith has members in more than 57 countries.
B’nai B’rith has had a permanent office and NGO status at the United Nations for over 60 years.
The Bureau maintains regular contacts with London-based diplomatic missions, and the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
