The Jewish Leadership Council brings together the heads of the major organisations in each sector of UK Jewish life. The Council exists to strengthen the major institutions of British Jewry, to promote cooperation between them and to articulate a confident and compelling narrative of mainstream Jewish life in the UK.
The Council was instrumental in the foundation of the Jewish Human Rights Coalition and many members of the Council are deeply involved in activities and programmes aimed at countering the growth of racism, antisemitism, Islamophobia and xenophobia in addition to broader human rights issues.
